The shoot at Glevering has been running for over a hundred years with photographic records showing many of the drives which are still used today.

A syndicate is held during the pheasant season however we are excited to now offer simulated game days which will be held between April and August.

What is a Simulated Game Day?

Our simulated days aim to replicate a driven day as closely as possible with the big difference being that clays are shot instead of live game. We offer parties of 12 an unforgettable day comprising four drives together with a bacon roll, refreshments and lunch for the morning session or refreshments and supper for an afternoon session.

The Day

The day starts with breakfast where you will enjoy a bacon roll, tea and coffee. The shoot captain will explain the format as well as provide a safety talk.  The guns will then depart for the drives in groups of four.

The drives are all held around the estate within both woodland and open ground. After the second drive we provide a light snack and refreshments and after the fourth drive we host an informal lunch.

If an afternoon session is booked the day will follow a similar format, with tea and coffee accompanying the safety talk at the start of the event followed by two drives. Refreshments will be held in the field before two further drives. At the end of the day an informal supper and drinks will be served.

The day aims to mimick a traditional shoot and we hope our relaxed and safe environment ensures it is enjoyable for all standards.

The Dates

We are flexible when booking days so please contact us to talk about your preferred date.

We aim to  be flexible with timings but in general morning sessions will start at 9:00am and afternoon sessions will start at 3:30pm. However please do let us know if you would like a different format or timings and we will aim to accommodate your requirements.

Special Requests

If you would like to book corporate events, group parties or special occasions outside of the dates listed above or in a different format, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your needs for any simulated shoot days. We are flexible!

Safety

We suggest you dress suitably for the countryside and the weather. Peaked hats, ear defenders and eye protection must be worn during the drives. Whilst we encourage you to bring your own, these items will be available on the day on request.

Shotguns & Cartridges

For simulated shoots it is anticipated that participants will bring their own guns. Shotguns can be hired if required; please let us know when you make your booking.

If you own your own shotgun, you will already have a licence.  Please bring this with you as we may ask to see it.

If we are providing guns for you, there is no need for a licence as exemptions allow us to provide clay pigeon shooting facilities to people who do not possess a shotgun certificate.

Please bring your own cartridges, no bigger than 25g 7 shot, fibre wad. Cartridges may be purchased on the day if required. Alternatively Trulock & Harris are just four miles away (IP13 9LL) and open at 9am.

Insurance

Most people who own their own gun will have their own insurance. At the time of booking please confirm your confirm insurance details.

Instructors

Are you looking to improve your shooting or are new to the sport? We are able to source qualified instructors or loaders to help you on the day. There will be an additional cost for instructors / loaders and please let us know at the time of booking if this service is required.

Price

The price per gun is £125 with a minimum booking of 12 guns per session. A 30% deposit at the time of booking is required with the remainder due on the shoot day.
